This picture was taken at Buddy Guy's Legends, just prior to Buddy and family and friends
going to Millineum Park in Chicago, for Buddy to recieve the first ever Illinois Great Performer award. In and out of the hospital, Phil was determined and delighted to make this event, which would be in fact his last public event. After the Millenium Park event, Buddy had a CD release party at Buddy Guy's Legends for his new CD "Skin Deep." Phil was thrilled to be able to be a part of this special night. Phil and Buddy were the best of brothers . . . the best of friends . . . and all siblings - their brother Sam, and their sisters Annie Mae and Fannie Mae . . . they all had and have a very special bond. 7-20-08

Rock Island & Moline, Illionois) July 4th, 2008 . . . Phil's last performance. After this performance Phil decided to cancel other scheduled performances so he could concentrate on his health, hoping that he could come back out and perform again.
