Phil Guy's Official and Original website

Hey Phil Guy fans and Blues fans . . .
. . . Soul, Rock & Roll, Old School and Hip Hop fans

We're thrilled you're checking out the website and his my space site at:

We are pleased to announce that a very special 6th International Phil Guy Day will happen this year. Phil would be 74 this April 28th. The past 5 years Dario Lombardo (Italian musican and good friend of Phil's who performed many times with him) and I (Lisa Mallen - Phil's manager) have coordinated with Blues musicians, venues, and friends around the world to remember Phil Guy and his music during the week and day of April 28th. Look below to see the past Phil Guy International Days' events.

This year we are doing something different thanks to Dario and Delores Scott's efforts(another very good friend of Phil's. Phil had a lot of friends:)) They were able to secure a spot at the 2014 - 31st Annual Chicago Blues Festival set for June 13 through June 15 in Grant Park. The Tribute to Phil Guy will be on Saturday, June 14th at the Pepsi Front Porch Stage from 3-4 PM. The performance will include several members of Phil's band, musicians that performed with him, and the two people who coordinated this: The Italy/Chicago collaboration with Dario Lombardo and Delores Scott.

Needless to say we are absolutely thrilled to share the memory of Phil Guy and his music during the largest free Blues festival in the world.

Check back to this website for more information and updates. Also check Phil Guy's my space site (address above).

Once again, we will be remembering Phil on his birthday and during that week. Phil's birthday is Sunday, April 28, 2013. It's unbelievable to think that it's been 5 years since he passed away. He would be 73 this year. Dario Lombardo and I are asking any and all musicians, friends, family and fans to remember Phil or perform a song or two at your events the week and weekend of Phil's birthday. Please let me know if you can do this and I will put it on the schedule here with a link to your web site. Thank you!
